April 2009 - Local metal designer and fabricator, Fry Fabrications, grew from its humble
beginnings in a garage to a 6,500-sq.-ft. facility in Phoenix, Ariz., where it is producing this year’s
Majerle Hustle Award for the Phoenix Suns.
For the third consecutive year, Fry Fabrications is designing and producing a 24-in.-tall, highpolish
aluminum trophy resembling the number nine in honor of Dan Majerle, who wore the
number during his playing days with the Phoenix Suns.
The Majerle Hustle Award is presented at the end of each season to the Suns player who most
personifies the qualities of Suns Ring of Honor member Dan Majerle.
“We’re thrilled to be working with the Phoenix Suns again this year. It’s a great chance for us to
showcase our creative work outside of beverage and merchandising displays and it’s always a lot
of fun to work with the Phoenix Suns,” said Jim Fry, president of Fry Fabrications.
March 2009 - Fry Fabrications unveiled an expanded line of sleek, new bar stools at the 2009
Nightclub & Bar Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. New additions to the popular line of stools include
spiral, cross bar, wide and narrow metal frame bases.
All come standard with a black seat and each design can be fully customized to complement
individual bar and restaurant design.
“These new bar stools offer our customers a wider range of stools to match their specific design,”
says Jim Fry, president of Fry Fabrications.
June 2008 - Arizona Republic’s annual list of entrepreneurs under 35 honored JIm Fry, president
of Fry Fabrications for the company’s extraordinary growth and Fry’s passion for metalworking.
This year's list selected 29 entrepreneurs from such diverse businesses as an organic product
boutique to software installation services.
"(Fry Fabrications is) a great example of starting out with a broader array of services and then
focusing on a solid niche when it emerges," Arizona Republic judge Jason Baer said.
2007 - Rapid growth moved Fry Fabrications from its 2,000-sq.-ft. Tempe facility to a larger
6,500-sq.-ft. Phoenix location, where the company now produces an expanded line of beverage,
retail merchandising and exhibit displays, as well as custom and branded bars.
“Our business has continued to grow and we are expanding to serve more industries, so we
needed more space. Now we have the room for new equipment to offer our customers higher
quality production with a faster turnaround because we’re able to do more in-house,” says
president Jim Fry.
Fry Fabrications designs and produces merchandising and beverage displays for retail,
restaurants, nightclubs and bars, as well as custom, branded products for on-premise marketing.
Established in 1999, the company has offices in Phoenix, Ariz. and ships products throughout
the nation and world. Fry Fabrications’ industry-leading products include bottle service caddies,
portable and stationary bars, bar stools and restaurant furniture, retail displays and POP
products.
November 2009 — Local metal designer and fabricator, Jim Fry of Fry Fabrications combined his experience as a pit crew member on race teams and his love for racing with his expertise in metal fabrications to create a series of bar stools that each feature a race car driver’s number.
This new line of bar stools is the latest addition to a growing product line of décor and furnishings built for restaurant, hotel and personal use.
The stools feature a plush seat for comfort, a custom number, a foot rest for relaxation and a sturdy metal base. The stools are powder coated in a variety of color combinations to match your favorite driver’s car and are built to last at home or in a public setting. At
$425 per pair, they make the perfect addition to the home bar and a great holiday gift for an auto enthusiast.
Started in 1999, Fry Fabrications began in President Jim Fry’s parents’ garage as a supplier of bars and bar service products for Phoenix-area restaurants, bars and nightclubs, where Fry put his experience in automotive rebuilding to use. Today, the company produces merchandising displays, décor, furnishings and beverage service products for such leading brands as Monster Energy, Absolut Vodka and W Hotels.
“These are my favorite stools that we make. The colors are so bright and fun, and they’re built to be very sturdy. What race fan wouldn’t want these at home?” said Jim Fry, president of Fry Fabrications.
